The Megalodon shark was absolutely huge growing up to 18 metres long - a great white shark is a maximum of 6 metres so that makes the megalodon at least 3 times the size of a great white shark!
During a sharks lifetime they are constantly shedding teeth & growing new ones, this coupled with durable nature of the teeth they are a very well preserved fossil.
The teeth were different shapes depending where in the jaw they were from, the teeth in the lower jaw were narrower & pointier that the wider v shape teeth from the top jaw, the teeth at the back of the jaw were much shorter
