Triceratops was a large, herbivorous dinosaur that lived during the late Cretaceous period around 68-66 million years ago.
Its jaws came together to form a sharp curved beak, which was built for grasping & pulling at plants. This beak had hundreds of teeth, which would continually replace themselves each time a tooth became worn or broken, as their teeth grew in columns so there was a constant flow of teeth available.
The two long brow horns and short nose horn may have been used for defence against predators, as well as for display or dominance fights within its species. These dinosaurs were herbivores, living off a diet of plants.
